Avant Private Room Pop Music CD Review

Private Room is the latest Pop CD released by the very talented Avant who once again has delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. Im confident Avant fans and Pop fans alike will be pleased with this one.

Private Room opens with a great track Private Room Intro that I anticipate will be heard on radio stations everywhere and deservedly so. Its a really nice track.

Pop music fans will recognize some of the well known guests that have been assembled to play along with Avant on several of the tracks. Artists like Darius Brooks and Olivia just to name a couple.

If youre a Avant fan this is a CD your collection flat cannot be without. In fact this is one of those CDs that you dont even have to be a fan of Avant or even Pop to know is good. This is just good music. Period.

While this entire album is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 10 Seems To Be track 3 Read Your Mind and track 16 Flickin.

My Bonus Pick and the one that got Sore …as in “Stuck On REpeat” is track 1 Private Room Intro. Its a great track!

Avant My Thoughts Pop Music CD Review

The exceptionally talented Pop artist Avant has released him CD entitled My Thoughts. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Avant fans and Pop fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of My Thoughts Avants artistic excellence is on full display as Avant has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be him best work to date.

Refreshingly this was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

Pop music fans will recognize some of the well known guests that have been assembled to play along with Avant on several of the tracks. Artists like Steve Huff and Charles Willis just to name a couple.

While the entire album is really very good some of my favorites are track 4 Lets Make A Deal track 7 I Wanna Know and track 12 Why

Pop music fans will recognize some of the well known contributors on the project including Kerry Brothers and Cindy Mizelle plus a few other notables as well.

Im of the opinion that Songs In A Minor is certainly Alicia Keyss best work in a few years. A totally enjoyable CD and an outstanding release. What I call must have music. I give it two thumbs up because its a collection that even the casual Pop fan can appreciate and enjoy.

While this entire CD is really very good some of my favorites are track 3 How Come You Dont Call Me track 14 Why Do I Feel So Sad and track 16 Loving U

Not sure whats happening with me on this one but it seems like the more I listen to it the better Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie gets. Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie put simply is one of Alanis Morissettes best CDs to date.

I wish it werent the case but its not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just cant force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

The nice thing about a CD like this is when the talent is this rich even if Pop isnt your favorite style you still cant help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.

If you’re even mildly into Pop music you’ll enjoy this album. Overall Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie is an outstanding release. I give it my double thumbs up. You will not be disappointed with one single track.

While this entire album is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 6 That I Would Be Good track 12 Would Not Come and track 17 Your Congratulations.

Not sure whats happening with me on this one but it seems like the more I listen to it the better SoCalled Chaos gets. SoCalled Chaos stated simply is one of Alanis Morissettes best CDs to date.

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce thats exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all with each song standing tall on it’s own.

Pop music fans will recognize some of the well known contributors on the project including Jamie Muhoberac and Kenny Aronoff plus a few other notables as well.

Overall SoCalled Chaos is excellent from beginning to end. One of those CDs that after a few listens the songs are just etched into your memory. A must have for the Pop fan. Really sensational from beginning to end.

While the entire album is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 2 Out Is Through track 2 Doth I Protest Too Much and track 10 Everything.

Very talented Pop artist Alanis Morissette has released her latest album titled Feast On Scraps and Wow! It’s good.

Alanis Morissette has been a super star in the Pop genre for quite a while now and Feast On Scraps is an excellent illustration as to why.

Feast On Scraps is a pleasantly varied mix of 9 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly talented artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only imagine are her own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love heartbreak pain failed relationships and unattainable romance. Theyre all here.

Overall Feast On Scraps is excellent from beginning to end. One of those CDs that after a few listens the songs are just etched into your memory. A must have for the Pop fan. Really sensational from beginning to end.

Richly talented Pop artist Al Stewart has released him latest album titled Russians and Americans and Wow! Its really a good one.

Al Stewart is one of those musicians that has the ability to just win you over with him talent. The kind of artist its really a treat to be able to listen to.

Listen to this CD and I believe youll find there’s not much to dislike about it. The songs are inspired the production is simply outstanding and Al Stewart is clearly in top form. So much so that if you’re even mildly into Pop music you’ll enjoy this album.

A Free Guitar Lesson On How To Play Popular Songs

Most popular songs are also fairly easy to play especially in the blues or rock genres. There’s a bunch of free guitar lessons on the internet so if you have a list of favorites songs I’d suggest typing them into a search engine together with the words ‘free tabs’ or ‘free chord charts’. Also as the saying goes don’t forget the lyrics you can usually get those for free too.

I’ve gone around to a few websites to see what songs were considered both popular and easy and there really is quite a large range out there for a beginner guitarist with half an hour a day to practice and some enthusiasm for learning to play some songs. Here’s a few I’ve found: About A Girl By Nirvana Take It Easy by The Eagles Mister Tambourine Man by Bob Dylan The Gambler by Kenny Rogers Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison House Of The Rising Sun by The Animals and Leaving On A Jet Plane by John Denver.

You will be able to play all these songs if you learn these chords: A major A minor C major D major D minor E major E minor F major and G major.

For many people a big difficulty in learning to play songs is getting the knack of playing guitar and singing at the same time. As there is not much point learning to sing without being able to play the guitar you can afford to spend a bit of time working on your collection of guitar chords without worrying too much about singing the words. There are many tutorials on learning chords and chord changes so if you have any trouble in this area do a web search on guitar chord lessons particularly on YouTube because video lessons are much more easy to understand than text when it comes to a physical skill like chord changing.

Once you have your chord changes smooth not necessarily fast learn the words to your song. Learning song lyrics isn’t rocket surgery so you shouldn’t have to rely on reading from a piece of paper that will just add to your hassles. The next skill you are going to learn is playing guitar singing the song and tapping your foot at the same time. Use a metronome to keep the time accurate. Don’t start with singing but count the beats out loud to the metronome while you play the chords. If there are any hiccups in your chord changes this kind of practice should help iron them out.

If you are having real trouble counting saying the ‘and’ out loud between the beats will help. After a while you will be able to keep time with your foot without saying the beats so you can now begin to sing the words.
